Moncton Park Gardens

Raised bed
In partnership with the City of Moncton, and funded by Healthy and Inclusive Communities, Green Eye Coop is installing raised bed planters in several play parks in the city. These planters will serve as an activity that park staff can engage the neighborhood children in through the season. This project will also serve as a pilot to increase the number of community gardens and publicly accessible, local food, throughout the city of Moncton.
In the coming days, Green Eye Coop will be hosting hands-on community workshops. A variety of well-established plants will be planted at each of the following sites:
• René Arthur Fréchet @ 45 Centre St.
• Canadian Heights @ 35 Chelsea Rd.
• Lewis St. @ 78 Lewis St.
• Prince Edward Playground @35 Burlington Ave.
• Hamilton Heights @ 120 Evergreen Drive
• Maplehurst @ 115 Maplehurst
• Creek Village Playground @ 40 Pleasant St.
Specific times and dates will be announced shortly as we work around the weather. Please circulate this post with in your neighborhood so that the whole community can participate in this project.
To join the mailing list and find out when we will be planting in your community, please click HERE and tell us which park site you would like to participate in.NB_Canada_Spot_ColourMoncton logo

  • Update:

Most of our garden boxes have been delivered! Have you seen them in your parks? The soil will be on location shortly. Then we get together to plant, connect, and learn from each other. What could the future of urban food production look like in your neighborhood?
